Meet Our Dr. Stan
Dr. Stanislav Avezov, DVM is a UC Davis–trained veterinarian with over 24 years of clinical experience, recognized for his work in advanced diagnostics, complex medical decision-making, and specialized procedures across a wide range of cases.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Stan completed a rigorous internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, where he received advanced training in specialty-level medicine, surgery, and collaborative case management. He then spent nearly five years practicing in a 24-hour emergency and critical care setting at VCA McClave, managing high-acuity cases that required rapid stabilization, decisive intervention, and calm leadership under pressure. This strong emergency foundation continues to shape his structured, confident, and efficient approach to urgent and complex cases today.
Throughout his career, Dr. Stan has built trusted pet communities throughout the West San Gabriel Valley, including Pasadena, San Marino, Monrovia, Alhambra, Arcadia, and surrounding areas. Over the years, families have relied on his clinical judgment, surgical precision, and thoughtful approach to care. He now brings that same level of expertise to the Inland Valley, offering dedicated urgent care and general veterinary services to pet families in La Verne, Claremont, San Dimas, Glendora, Upland, Montclair, and nearby communities.
In addition to advanced soft tissue and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Stan has extensive experience in endoscopy, laparoscopic procedures, and non-surgical foreign body removal—often helping pets avoid traditional open surgery when appropriate. His background also includes regenerative medicine such as stem cell therapy, combination cold laser therapy for pain management and healing support, and comprehensive dental procedures.
Dr. Stan is highly experienced in professional dental care, including thorough dental cleanings, detailed oral health evaluation, and treatment planning for dental disease—an essential yet often underestimated component of long-term pet health. He approaches dental procedures with the same attention to safety, anesthesia protocols, pain management, and individualized treatment planning as all other medical services.
His work in regenerative medicine and adjunctive pain management reflects a commitment to modern, evidence-based approaches that may improve comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life for selected patients.
